Denis Joseph Jestadt (D.J.) was born in London, England, and at a few months of age, his parents moved the family to Regina Saskatchewan where he spent most of his childhood and teen years. He loved to sing in the choir, act in plays, and create his own unique productions. During high school he was elected to the school board, and as Drama Director he created, through Improv, various Stage and Television Drama, Comedy and Musical Productions. At age twenty-one, he graduated from the National Theatre School of Canada in Montreal. But that was "then", and they are still here now to tell you ...

Denis always has had that "creative buzz", where ever he journeys. He performed with Regional theatres including the Stratford Festival, and moved to Toronto to expand in this career area. In the beginning stages, he performed, composed and recorded music with Anne Murray's production team, The Mad Folk, The Mole Basement Band, and The Answer, as well as performing solo. D.J. became the founder and performer of the Improv group First Edition, and later created his own Record Company Love Radio Records.
Throughout those years D.J. studied and taught a number of philosophical and spiritual practices, and still found the time to father and raise his three children.
"Alana, Nick and Zara are my inspiration. The are carrying on the passion and the expression of the Arts in so many ways. Nick I am sure is becoming a major film maker, Zara is in Musical Theatre as well as touring throughout North America with the McGill University Acapella Group EFFUSION, and my eldest Alana is now manager of her own Health and Beauty Spa in Toronto."
From the beginning of 2007 to mid 2008 Denis had the opportunity to host his own Internet Talk Radio Show, "DreamPath" on BBSRadio.com with his co-host Jara-Lynn. "We laughed a lot in that year and half, putting the interviews, comedy skits and music together for each of those shows that always featured a prominent guest." "I have always been extremely lucky to be able to work and play with a number of extremely talented and tremendously gifted artists and musicians, my brother John being one of them. John has been with me since the beginning, and in my humble opinion he's the best guitar picker north of the 49th parallel. Certainly he has been my biggest musical influence! I will soon be releasing another CD with a compilation of our music together ~ Look for it."
